Our products in the Operating Room,
CVOR, Hybrid Suites, and Cath Lab setting...
These surgical areas are either permanently equipped or periodically host supplemental physiologic monitors, life support, and/or therapy equipment; each requiring a patient cable input connection using a unique set of electrodes, lead wires, and/or pressure transducers. We offer a solution that eliminates these siloed connections (one patient cable per device) and enables one monitor (typically the anesthesia monitor) to advance ECG and IBP signals and waveforms onto the displays of multiple secondary monitors/devices. This efficient method of integration reduces the number of tethered cables at the patient and offers synchronized displays. For the clinician, connecting fewer patient cables saves time and speeds up patient setup. For the surgeon, there is less cable clutter in both the surgical field and site. For the patient, there are fewer disruptions from tethered connections, which impacts their experience.
Our interconnect cabling solution for surgical areas include:
- Output Multiplier: connects to the analog output of the primary patient monitor and enables simultaneous signal transfer of ECG and invasive pressure onto peripheral device displays.
- Coordinating 1/4″ ECG and IBP interconnect slave cables: used in tandem with the output multiplier to link the multiplier’s ECG and/or IBP output to the unique input of each needed supplemental monitor (i.e. defibrillator, balloon pump, cardiac ultrasound, hemodynamic monitor, ultrasound, and pacer programmer).
Additional MAGUIRE products also utilized in surgical areas:
- Defibrillator input Adapter: connects to the ECG or IBP input of the defibrillator and allows the device to accept a GE Healthcare or Philips Healthcare patient cable. The ability to connect the patient to the defibrillator using the bedside patient cable helps promote standardization across care areas.
- Defibrillator Output Adapter: connects to the ECG output of the defibrillator into the pacer programming device, providing the pacer specialist the physiologic signal needed to confirm capture .
Summary: In the absence of interconnect cables, multipliers, and adapters, each piece of monitoring equipment must be connected to the patient via separate cables, electrodes, and pressure transducers. In contrast, MAGUIRE’s methods for efficient equipment integration delivers matching waveform displays, reduced numbers of tethered patient cables, and an overall reduction in cable clutter.

Our products in the Critical Care setting
PACU, ICU, CCU, NICU, and PICU...
In the ICU and critical care areas of the hospital it is beneficial to utilize an interconnect cable (aka slave cable) between the bedside monitor and a necessary therapeutic device (i.e. intra-aortic balloon pump, hemodynamic monitor, manual defibrillator, or pacer programmer). Our reliable cables are able to utilize the ECG or invasive pressure signal found at the host monitor and transfer it to the display of the ancillary device. The integration of two pieces of medical equipment with an interconnect cable is simple and removes the otherwise need for supplemental patient cables, electrodes, and/or pressure transducers. And because this method needs fewer tethered cables, it is less disruptive to the patient; especially the neo-natal, pediatric or similarly fragile patient.
Our most demanded connections in a Critical Care setting are:

Our products in Emergency/Trauma areas...
The use of our products in the Emergency and Trauma department is directly related to the implementation of the manual external defibrillators. When responding to a code event, an interconnect/slave is useful because it quickly provides the defibrillator with the ECG signal displayed at the bedside monitor.
For the facility that utilizes the defibrillator for transport, we offer products that allow the patient cable at the bedside to be used with the defibrillator input. This convenience helps to promote standardized connections across care areas.
Our connections for the Emergency/Trauma department include:
- Defibrillator interconnect/slave cable: links the ECG output of the bedside monitor to the ECG input of the defibrillator for a slaved remote display of signal and waveform.
- Defibrillator input Adapter: connects to the ECG or IBP input of the defibrillator and allows the device to accept a GE Healthcare or Philips Healthcare patient cable.

Our products on ultrasound carts...
MAGUIRE makes it simple for the ultrasound technician to acquire the patient’s ECG signal from the bedside, anesthesia, or defibrillator monitor (as opposed to acquiring the signal by connecting a separate set of ECG patient cables). By equipping each ultrasound cart with the desirable interconnect/slave cable, you are better positioned to quickly connect, investigate, and diagnose.
Ultrasound interconnect/slave cables are available for connection between popular cardiac imaging devices and patient monitors.

Our products for connecting medical equipment
to the Central Nurse Call System...
Device Alarm Nurse Call Cables connect the alarm output of medical equipment to the central station alarm monitoring system. The typical nurse call system input is located at the headwall jack near the patient bedside.
The most popular alarm cables are available for the following devices:
When multiple devices require alarm connection, turn to our Nurse Call Input Multiplier. This unique product uses a single jack at the headwall and expands it to allow three separate device inputs for alarm monitoring.
